DVR sometimes records General Hospital, sometimes not

I know that GH changed their time slot back in July( now showing at 3:00pm)  Tamron Hall is on before it(2:00pm). For some reason, ATT Uverse is still thinking it is on at 2:00, so I make sure to have the DVR set to record BOTH programs.  But several times it has recorded what it thinks is General Hospital, but in reality it's Tamron Hall, and then it doesn't record Tamron, so I miss GH.  This happened again today.  Luckily, I came in at 3:30, so was able to watch the last half of GH live.

Do you know of any way to fix this?

Is it a series recording? Delete it and start fresh. If not, you may want to try unplugging the DVR for about 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.

Oddly, my GH is 2 and my TH is at 3. Both on ABC. I'm in eastern time. Perhaps it's something with your ABC affiliate?

also, the recordings are based on the EPG (electronic program guide) info, and if the network schedule changed but the EPG did not update, that can cause missed recordings.

I suggest rebooting your DVR every week or two.  When it isn't recording, hold the power button in for 10 seconds, or until it stops blinking.  This appears to help when a valid instance of the schedule inexplicably fails to record.  However, there are other reasons why an episode might not record:

1) No episode was aired in that time slot (pre-empted for something else)

2) The station told the EPG provider that it wasn't going to be on that time slot (even if it was)

3) The time was off enough that it didn't match your Series parameters

4) Your Series is marked for first-run only, and the EPG guide didn't have it marked that way

5) The name of the program was changed for that instance (happened to an NBC prime time series last week [normally] called "Zoe's Extraordinary Playlist," they changed the name in the guide for an episode as a tribute/special... but it meant series records missed it.
