DVR won’t play recording they are black
U-verse TV. I’ve had at least 2 movies not play at all after recording and now after I start to watch something if I try to go back and watch again I get a black screen and it does not play.
I have restarted my receiver and service multiple times that has NOT helped.
this started 2 weeks ago, never have had this issue

Check out our Troubleshoot & Resolve tool for help with your black screens. This will detect any errors and provide suggestions on how to correct them. Please tell us, does this happen with all of your recordings?

I have done the troubleshooting steps. I have restarted my gateway and receivers and nothing has helped.
This started 2 weeks ago. At first it was several recording made over the weekend on hallmark channel. they would not play at all. so I deleted them recorded some additionally stuff that then played fine. Then this past week I started watching a movie and stopped it and could not play it again. the movie acts like its going to play back.
I wonder If it may be an issue with just hallmark channel recording because I tried something else that was recorded on showtime and it played after I stopped it.

It seems to be just with movies in hallmark channel. I did notice it when I recorded a lifetime show but recording since then on Lifetime have played and been replayed with no issue.
I had previously recorded the movie October kiss on lifetime and several others during the first week of October and none of them played except for the new movie released that weekend. I again recorded October kiss and harvest love last night and yesterday and harvest love played fine but October kiss will not play at all.
This is not a blank screen issue.
I have recording dating back to 11/18 that play fine from hallmark and will replay as well, it seems to be just new recording and majority hallmark.
I am concerned because the Xmas season is about to start and I plan to record a lot on hallmark

It is still happening almost exclusively on hallmark channel and hallmark movies and mysteries.
I have recorded multiple movies and at least 2 of them won’t play. I’m scared to try more.
why is this happening

And actually it looks like it’s pockets of time I just tried everything I recorded from 10/19 to 10/23 and none of the movies work on any channels I recorded
