DVR won't record what I've been told it should record.
We were told at initial service that the DVR will record 3 HD and 1 SD channel at same time, period. There have been times when the live TV we were watching was stopped while a message appeared saying to continue we'd have to stop one of the shows being recorded. 1. We usually have 75% available record space remaining. 2. We typically never record more than three HD shows at once. 3. We typically watch all HD channels, we paid for HD so we watch HD.
What's going on that we cannot record 3 HD channels and watch HD live shows on two tv at once.

First off, you have a limit of 4 streams at any one time. So if you are recording 3 shows you will only be able to watch 1 more, not 2.
Secondly, if you have the maximum of 4 HD streams, 3 can be recorded in HD and the 4th HD can be watched on a STB and not the DVR. This is why it's advisable to have the DVR on a TV other than the main TV in the house. If it's on a lesser used TV, you won't run into the problem as often.
Verify that you have the 4HD profile. Menu>Options>System Options>System Information>System Resources. What does it say under Streams? Igress? Egress?
