What is the process or save my DVR recording shows. I need to purge my DVR to make more storage space. Thanks!

In HD format? Maybe you could use one of the Hauppauge products. Otherwise HDCP copy protection will prevent you from copying the programs of the hard drive. You might be able to connect the composite connections form the receiver/dvr to a recorder of some kind (e.g., vcr?). Of course you have to do this one program at a time at playback speed which is generally impractical.
So basically, how do you you save your dvr shows? You don't!
