FREEZING for 3 seconds several times a minute - UNWATCHABLE.

Is it impossible for AT&T to fix this.  And NO all the reboots don't fix anything.

Well I just found out that AT&T is aware that the VIP2262 v2 has a known firmware problem that causes freezing.  The local installers do NOT have a replacement unit (4250 or 7500) - but they are still installing the bad unit (stupid business model).  The call to 800-288-2020 number and was told that they can only replace with the same model number.  Ask to speak with someone else - put on hold - person came back and told me that they just a notice that my unit has a firmware problem (surprise, surprise).  They are going to drop ship a different model replacement.

Following a 3+ day complete crash of all ATT service at our condo complex (4 buildings, 11 floors each building,) my DVR is experiencing stop-and- go replay of recorded programs.  I called the Tel # shown on the screen when reboot changed nothing. Response was a recorded message that my call cannot be taken at the moment.

Talking “to the community” does not resolve the problem.

A great communications company is expected to troubleshoot customers’ service, be knowledgeable about customers’ service needs, and meet those needs.  Are these even goals of ATT now?

Tango, thanks for your post. Did they give you any identifier for the firmware bug? I'm about to make the call.
