Having to put a driveway in where there are buried lines.

The area where the driveway will be put in has AT&T lines going across it. I will have to cut the area down several feet to put in the driveway so I need to know how deep the lines are normally. I'm sure the lines will have to be buried deeper in order as not to cut the them.
