HELP!!! Stuck with 1 HD Stream (3 SD) despite having 100 Mbps internet...

We just had our U-Verse installed yesterday and are having problems with our DVR.

It started with only being able to watch one TV in HD at one time. The online chat tech repushed the software and we were able to watch HD on multiple TVs.

Later in the evening, we were scheduling shows on our DVR and we started getting conflicts about recording more than one show at a time. We decided, after reading some posts on this forum and needing to move the location of some of the devices for aesthetic reasons, to do a whole house reboot. We brought the gateway up first and allowed it to establish all of its connections. We then turned on the DVR and waited for a picture. It came up and said "U-verse service is not available at this time" and gave an option to restart the receiver. We did that three times to no avail. I then noticed that the link light was not illuminated. I unplugged the network cable, replugged it in, the light illuminated and we were able to restart the receiver with no issue.

However, it all repeated this AM. When I got up around 3:45 am to watch a sporting event I scheduled to record at 1:00 am, the DVR start up to again say that "U-verse service is not available at this time". I restarted 2-3 times before noticing that the link light was not illuminated again. I unplugged the network cable, plugged it back in, and again the light illuminated and the receiver was able to restart with service. HOWEVER, the show I scheduled to record overnight never recorded. It does not show up in any category under recordings.

Additionally, I tried to record to HD shows simultaneously this AM, but it gave me a scheduling conflict. I also tried recording an HD show and switching to another HD channel and it gave the error “All HD services are in use”. This is the only TV and receiver on this morning.

When I go to System Information and then System Resources, I get the following information:

- Streams: 3 SD/1 HD (WAN); 3 SD/1 HD (ingress)

- Egress profile: 0 SD/3 HD

When I got to the Broadband status for the Gateway, I get this for my max download/upload:

Line 1 - 113139 (down) ; 22272 (up)

Line 2 - 105242 (down) ; 19024 (up)

Bonded Downstream Rate: 107006

Bonded Upstream Rate: 22006

Not sure if that has any bearing on the issue. We also are very close to our VRAD. The tech that installed said we would likely get the full 100 Mbps due to how close we are. I've also performed speed tests at DSLReports.com and am consistently getting 90+ Mbps speeds.

I've tried with tech support multiple times online and on the phone, but am told they cannot change this and it requires a tech on site to increase our bandwidth. That's not until Tuesday afternoon. I believe some on here have said that the issue is the profile needs to be changed. Is that something that has to be done by a tech on site? Is there a better tech support number o call?

Hi @mhall33,

Sorry to read of the trouble you are having with TV service. Normally a change on our end gets your 4HD streams working. Since you have a tech visit setup, we will allow that to take place first.

If the tech visit does not resolve these issues, come back and post on this thread. We can take a look then.
