How do I hide all the channels I don't get?

How do I hide all the channels I don't get? Do I have to manually check off all the SD channels, and channels I don't get everytime my unit resets or updates?

This is really annoying.

Press the "Menu" button on the remote.

Go to "Options">"System">"Hide Channels".

Be sure to "Save".

Easy peasy.

Hey Skeeter thanks, but I've done that twice already.

1. I have to do this every time my box loses power or updates.

2. There are like 1000 channels I have to manual uncheck this takes like 20 minutes!

You should not have to hide channels (again) unless you replace the box.  You do have to hide channels on each box but you shouldn't be doing it more than once.

You're either doing it wrong or you're not "saving" after you do it.

@jaredreid4 - Try the Favorites guide. Found under ENTER button adjacent to zero.

Edit/add to create a named list.

While watching a channel click the add to to add it to your fav guide.

To access fav guide press the A button.

Add a couple of channels & see it it persists after a power failure. Then add more as you go.

Of course, the "package" level guide is always available under Menu, but it is now so deep and I do not know the name I cannot telll you how to navigate.

My options to hide don’t include the upper HD channels .  It only goes into the 800s.    How can I hide in the HD channels I don’t want?

@Djmonastero. Do you have Uverse TV or DirecTV?

Yeah back before the desperation and heightened efforts of manipulation set in, you only saw what you got.  Now they want you to "see what you're missing" I assume, which only goes to irritate the user.  Or maybe the programmers have gotten so incompetent, they no longer know how to implement this basic, rudimentary feature that existed decades ago.
