Hide the ones you don't want and just use the browser/Guide as your favorites: menu>options>channel options>hide channels
Uncheck all you don't want then Save your selections one time. This way you wont have to use any extra button pushes to get your favorites in normal use.
When they put in other advertising channels you will (or soon will) be able to just enter the channel # and jump right to it to uncheck it.
