How many Uverse wireless receivers can I have?

I have 2 already and I'm wanting to add another, how many are we able to have?

The previous responses are not correct.

Uverse has recently updated their provisioning.  Depending on your setup, ATT can now run 5 wireless boxes.  This may require a new Wireless transmitter depending on which one you have.

If you call sales at 1800 288 2020 they can set you up with the information you need.

Good luck

The previous responses were definitely correct at the time they were written.  I have seen nothing officially published that the situation has changed since then.

Thanks Jeffer, but I am a Tech for ATT and I am aware of the updates.  Thanks for the follow up.

Man, as far as I know everything is internal right now, but the VAP2500 and VEN501 both support up to 5 receivers. I've ordered it for customers before. If you have either of those you could try it yourself Woman Tongue

My concerns when I read something like the original post from the 'elf:

  1. It's only available in certain markets,
  2. It's only available in limited situations (like when the installer wants to do it to make an install easier, vs. a customer asking for it after the fact),
  3. It works, but is not officially supported (like i38HG's installed without an i3812),
  4. There are technological implications (need certain gateways or WAPs),
  5. It's available, but the call center staff isn't trained to know it and is only aware of the previous limit,
  6. It's going to be available after a certain date that hasn't yet passed, and/or
  7. It's someone who's posting crap just to troll (especially when it's the poster's first day and isn't properly flagged as an employee).

Hearing it from two other known PT's removes most of these and clarifies some others, my thanks to all three of you for informing us.

Word has it that, yes, this is widely available (though not marketed).  Customers should be aware that installations are limited to the stock in the installer's truck which is usually less than 5, so asking for a professional installation of 5 additional wireless boxes at once may not fly.

Just one quarter please for me, please, ... A 1921 Washington in BU condition... Would help me complete the typeset putting together for grandchild. Using the halves for the men, quarters for women and dimes for marriage years. Did not realize at the time I thought of this ideal what my Grandmother birth year was going to cost....

I don't have any uncirculated coin that old.  I have a peace dollar from that era, but it's far from mint condition.  I bought my children their birth year mint set.  1921 is, I believe, my grandparent's marriage year.  My dad was born in 1922.

Don't do it... The service is less than desireable.  I've been a customer for many years and will be switching to a more reliable service.

You can now apparently have more than 2 Wireless Receivers if you have a WAP that supports more than 2. Call AT&T at 800-288-2020 to see if you qualify.
