How to reprogram S30 remote to turn on sound from TV

My remote is set up to turn on the sound from my Samsung sound system. This system no longer works. How do I reprogram the remote to turn on the sound from my tv instead (without screwing up other things)?

Let's see if we can get your remote to work with your sound system again, @laurac2

Here are instructions for programming your S30 remote. If you scroll down, you'll find instructions for Samsung TVs and audio devices.

If it still doesn't work after reprogramming it, we recommend troubleshooting your remote to see if it helps get it connected again.

Thank you for your reply, but I don't want the remote to turn on my sound system because that system is no longer working (turning itself off after a minute or so).  I believe I need a new system.

So, in the meantime I want my remote to turn on the sound from the TV.  That is my question....how to change it from Samsung sound system to my LG tv sound.  AT&T was here on Jan 31 to fix other issues and the technician kindly set up my remote to turn on the Samsung with the tv.  But, now it's not working so I want to switch it back.

Let's get your remote set up for your Samsung TV, @laurac2!

In the previous message sent, we sent a link that has instructions on setting up your respective remote for both your Samsung TV and how to program is for TV Audio.

Give those a try and let us know if it works!

I have a AT&T S30 remote that turns on my Panasonic TV and my Denon receiver and i can control the stations and the SOUND volume with the remote. My remote is about 7 years old now and the "7" and "8" buttons have to be pushed numerous times to work. If i get a new remote from AT&T how do i program it to do the same functions as my current remote?
