I miss my COX cable and internet

I signed up for U-verse tv and internet May 2015 because Cox was not available in the area I just moved to. I'm so disappointed! First the internet connection was extremely slow or constantly disconnected. When a technician came out to try and resolve the issue, he took over 3 hrs and several cable boxes later...I got decent internet connection (not cable internet that's for sure). Then came the constant dvr interruption on my WAP. SO ANNOYING! I browsed the u-verse forum and sure enough did see people having the same issue, and suggestions to reset the RG blah, blah...why must you have to do list? If this is a common issue, it should have been resolved! I can't wait for my year contract to end!

I do not miss Charter at all.  Thank goodness U-verse moved in to my area and rescued me from them.  But I digress...

So that I understand your issue, let me restate it:  When you try to playback content from your DVR on one of your wireless receivers, it doesn't work correctly?  Is that correct?

How far apart is your Wireless Access Point from your U-verse Gateway?  If less than 3 feet, make it at least three feet, and do not line the two up with the Wireless Receiver.

How far away is your TV Receiver from your Wireless Access Point?  On the same floor?

My WAP is in a different room from the gateway, and the TV receiver is upstairs in the master bedroom. The issue is the constant resetting everything.

The "constant resetting everything" isn't an underlying issue.  That's your response to the symptoms caused by the underlying issue.  I'm trying to understand the environment to help get to the underlying issue so that the symptoms quit happening and you no longer need to make any response.

Different Floor?  Any idea how much of an angle between the WAP (which I assume is sitting flat) and the TV Receiver?  Do you have "5 bars" of signal on the TV Receiver?

How is the DVR connected to the Gateway?  Coax or Cat5e (Ethernet) cable?
