Moving wireless UVerse box from room to room
When moving our wireless cable box from room to room on occasion the sound on all channels will disappear, video is present but no sound on all channels and DVR recordings.
What's been tried:
- Swapping out HDMI Cables
- Rebooting the unit
- Switching with another wireless box we have in another room
- Reboot of the Gateway
- Reboot ofthe wired DVR
Typically, the above works but this last time nothing is working and both wireless boxes are behaving the same way on different TVs so it is not the TV. Also, Netflix works on the one SmartTV we have that doesn't work with the Uverse cable box.
Why does this happen and what is the easy way to restore the sound?

Hi @beachlife,
It seems that the whole system is out of sync from what you describe about it. Do us a favor and power off the router, DVR, and all other TV receivers. First, boot the router back up and when it is back online power on the DVR. Once the DVR is back online with picture confirm that the DVR functions are working for it. Once DVR functions are confirmed working then power up all other TV receivers. Let us know if any issues and questions.
