Need a way to get movies to my guest bedroom.

When my nephew stays over he stays in the guest bedroom which has a uverse box but has an old big box dumb tv. I have a large movie collection which I want him to have access to but I'm not sure how to get them to play on his tv.

1.Does Uverse have any sort of LAN sharing I could use?

2. Without a smart tv or additional devices could I get apps like Plex using the Uverse box?

3. Is the USB on the box really for charging only with no other uses like media input?

@smo1898, I was about to suggest a device such as the Amazon Fire TV Stick or the Google Chromecast, but both of these devices require an HDMI port, which a "big box dumb TV" may not have.

The U-verse TV Recievers used to have a Media-Share capability (before last December), but it never worked with videos, only audio and pictures.

I have a flat panel TV (before HDMI) in my guest bedroom. The TV uses composite cables so I  purchased an HDMI converter to use with Google Chromecast and it works fine.  I also have a DVD/VHS player- recorder on the same TV. This pretty much covers all the bases. Amazon sells several different ones and prices vary.
