Need Help re uverse tv

New to uverse - right now really miss DirecTV which was expensive but...

Issue:  set up recording of a couple dozen series (some daily, some weekly) only to have it only record the 2 weeks from date of original set up.  I just checked the "scheduled to be recorded" and noticed there is nothing scheduled past this sunday.  In the series priority heading, the shows are listed but clicking on each individual show nothing scheduled to record past Sunday.  This is now the 3rd time (every 2 weeks) this has happened.  Spent over an hour on phone with tech booting and rebooting and then a week ago had a tech out here cuz of this prob but he didn't really know how to deal with it since evidently these schedules sit on uverse server. he replaced our dvr and router so we lost all programs we recorded but had not watched.  Very nice, called the next day, but didn't resolve the issue.  i really don't want to reschedule everything ever two weeks.  any one else have this problem?  is it some set up on our dvr?  appreciate any help.

It only shows the next two weeks. Every night it automatically resets to include the next two weeks

Thanks for your answer. That is what i would have expected but that isn't
what has been happening. It actually does NOT record the series past 2
weeks. Unfortunately we only found this out when on jan 6th and jan 20th
we turned on the tv and discovered that none of our sunday programs were
recorded. I'm being proactive now because setting up programs to record is
tedious and i forget some. not to mention that neither cbs nor pbs is
available on demand.

There have been cases where episodes do not record. It is hardly ever. But, should be never.

You can check before the end of the two weeks by looking at the series count - menu - series - select show from list & look for scheduled count - e.g 60 minutes shows two episodes scheduled.

Also check a days schedule to be sure all your shows are scheduled.

I know you should not have to do this, but it is going to be hard to get standard help. An att employee has helped in some of these casees. I will PM him to alert him to  this thread.

As far as CBS on-demand - I believe your local station must be owned & oped by CBS. Try CBS on-line.

Also, try on-line for PBS - https://forums.att.com/t5/Using-your-U-verse-TV/PBS-is-not-listed-in-my-available-On-Demand-TV-networks-Why-not/m-p/4181906#M4461

Thank you. I checked today since i set everything up for the 3rd time on
Tuesday Jan 21st and didn't want to discover til it was too late that there
was a problem. I have no series shows - daily or weekly - scheduled past
this sunday. They are in the priority list, but showing only recorded thru
this week. Flipping thru the guide, the shows are telecast but do not have
the red balls(?) showing they are scheduled to be recorded. So once again,
i got 2 weeks worth of shows then nada. Very frustrated especially since I
can't just go into series priority and tell it to record more - that i
could handle. I actually have to either find the shows thru the guide or
search, and set each up again. (Tech had me remove any restrictions such as
save only 2 most recent which i did have set up for daily news type shows
thinking this was the problem but which obviously wasn't.) Thanks again.

Click the ATT Uverse Care link in my signature, send the PM, explain your series recording fiasco situation.

Include your account #, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on.

Check the blue PM envelope, upper right on every page, for their reply. Good luck 😉

What shows are you trying to record? I'll look at the data and my scheduled recordings.  All my Sunday shows recorded and show scheduled to record.

What settings are you using?

Thanks!

The only settings I'm changing now is "first run only".  The tech told me to not set up the restriction of "Keep at most 2 latest episodes" thinking this may be the prob even tho i only used that setting for the daily news type programs.  With DirecTV this meant that the oldest recorded show of that series would be deleted when a new one recorded.  I assume this is also true of uverse and that we were just trying to find some reason why i was having this problem.

Its not just the sunday shows, it all series, daily and weekly, that are no longer scheduled past this week.  Hopefully it is just some weird setting on the dvr.  Thank you.

Checking my DVR and it's scheduled recordings, I see nothing amiss. I have about 70 series recordings that run on my system in the office. I record most prime time shows so I can validate any missing or skipped recordings. I use the default settings. I have no missed scheduled recordings from this past weekend or from last week. This may be a specific issue with your DVR. (?)

If you can give me a few specifics, I can look at the data and verify everything was OK from a metadata perspective.

If you sent me a PM, I haven't received it yet.

I'm sorry for misunderstanding - i did not send you a pm, i sent it to ATTU-verseCare as suggested by Chris with my account and telephone information.

Some of the seriess which are recording Sunday 2/1 but not 2/8 are:

Melissa Harris-Perry (7am MSNBC)

CBS News Sunday Morning (7am CBS)

Masterpiece (Classic, Mystery, etc.) (PBS)

Worst Cooks in America (9pm FoodNetwork)

But it is not just sunday - it is every series regardless of day/channel.  for instance daily i record CBS this morning (8am) and The ellen degeneres show (NBC 3pm) which show recording today thru mon 2/2 but no later.

this is prob some stupid mis-setting on dvr but neither the telephone tech nor the in-person tech were able to help.  hopefully the PM I sent will work or someone out there in the community will have gone thru same thing and can help.  Thanks!

Weird - I just discovered all series are now correctly scheduled for the next 2 weeks.  (couple days ago the last scheduled series was monday feb 2nd.)  maybe they did something remotely without contacting me?  I did send a PM to ATTU-verseCare as well as emailing the ATT store salesperson who originally sold the service to me.  Don't understand but am thrilled that this prob may finally be resolved.  Thank you everyone for your suggestions.  I'm looking forward to being a Uverse happy camper rather than a ruer of the day I left DirecTv.
