Playback Jumping Ahead
For the last 2 days, when I rewind a program then begin watching, after approx 15 mins it'll jump ahead saying its to allow recording. But, nothing is recording! It also hasn't hit the hour buffer, so I'm wondering why this is happening & how to stop it. I've also rebooted the receiver & WAP several times w/ no change.

Have you also rebooted the U-verse gateway?

Does it happen to do that at the top of the hour, when the buffer restarts? It is not a continuous 1 hr buffer, it'll restart at top of the hour. The buffer is recording when you get that message.

Chris, it skips ahead literally after 10 mins. It's not @ the top of the hour nor an hour after being paused. And now, my recorded shows/movies stop playing after a few mins w/ an error message or will say "Finished" when it's not actually finished. So frustrating!

It's possible that your DVR is going bad and may need to be replaced. I would suggest you call U-verse Technical Support at the number shown in my signature.

Might try this before getting service.
If the DVR functions are still not working, try a Non-Destructive Disaster Recovery.
Unplug the power cord of the DVR from the wall or from the back of the box and wait ten seconds. Plug the DVR back in.
When three white dots appear on the screen, unplug the DVR again. Repeat this process two more times.
Plug the DVR back in on the third time and leave in. Three white dots appear followed by a gear with a status bar at the bottom of the screen.
If the Disaster Recovery screen does not appear, repeat the steps above. If the Disaster Recovery screen appears, wait until completion.
If the Non-Destructive Disaster Recovery does not work, follow the steps for a Force Disaster Recovery
Re-downloads all the software. Will not erase recordings, takes a bit of time or so. Good luck 😉
