smccracken771 -You may have to accept that the remote does not support the Sony. Based on the number of people posting, support for soundbar or Home theater is especially weak.

The first thing to try is the code list. I see many codes under Sony HT in a box, amplifier, receiver Tuner. Do you have that foldout? Or, use the list on the TV.

You can try the search method. If you get no hits when the Sony is on, try it with it off.

There were two recent posts for other sound bars that can be programmed to use the TV volume control. Check your manual. Unlikely.
