Question regarding the blue light on the DVR's

I noticed that when there is a power outage, the blue light comes on, on the various DVR's that I have. The blue light comes on, whether or not the television is on. Does this routinely occur, following either a power outage or surge? I've noticed the blue light on other occasions in the morning, when the tv is off. It is possble that there was a power surge (not an outage), during the night.

In addition to my question about the blue light, I have another question regarding the wireless DVR's. They are both model number ISB7005. However, one appears to have a light inside at the top, while the other one does not? The one without the light did not have the blue light come on, following the power outage. The one with the light had the blue light come on during the outage.

Therefore, I was wondering if the AT&T technical personnel, could explain this phenomenon? Thanks for your technical assistance!

@Roadmaster1 Blue light means an HD aspect ratio has been chosen for the TV it's hooked up to.  You only have 1 DVR, rest are STBs.  I'd just be concerned that the blue light is on for HD TV hookups, when they are on, rest of time ATT's not gonna give any support. 😉

It's likely as much answer as you're going to get.

AT&T "technical personnel" do not post on these boards with any regularity, at least that I can recall and I've been here for 7 years.  I think we've had a prem tech or two saunter through but that's about it.

Hence the answer you received.  Perhaps you could call CS and ask them.
