Red x with number 11 below it
I received a replacement receiver yesterday, I received a Message to install it after 2 pm. I followed the instructions and I am still getting that red x and number 11 on screen, I contacted tech support through chat today and we tried a few things which did not work, then I was told to disconnect it for an hour and retry, which I did and still after the loading bar and those coggle things the red x with the 11 pops up. So frustrating, could the replacement box be defective?

It might be. It would be best to call tech support to check equipment. If still does not work, they might send technician out.

The number 11 could mean there is a network issue with the receiver getting a network address. The gears mean the receiver is trying to download software and needs a network address to do that. There isn't a way to get it out of this mode except for a successful download. You can try moving it to another location where the receiver doesn't have any issues and swap the cables to see if it will get past the red X. If it does then the receiver is good and it could mean there is an issue with the wiring in the problem location. There is a difference in the single gear and two gear screens so if you continue having issues be sure to watch and see if the X comes up after one gear or two.
