Remote control beeps during the night

One of my S10-S4 remote controls beeps during the night, night after night, even though it is not being used and the TV and DVR have been off for hours. I changed the batteries to brand new ones but that did eliminate the problem. Is there a solution other than requesting a new remote control?

I was unaware those remotes beeped. Are you sure it's not another device making the beeping?

@srains1229 , Are you sure that the beeping is coming from your remote and not your DVR? When you say your DVR is turned off, do you mean that its just not active or do you mean that it is unplugged?

Or could it be the battery back up for the RG.  Maybe it's beeping during the day and you're just not hearing it until it gets quiet at night.

Try it with the batteries on your night table. Maybe it is the CO detector.

I bring up the DVR because after 5 years with my VIP 1225, it began to occasionally beep. It would only beep when it was plugged in, but not active.

Hey @srains1229

Just wanted to see if the mysterious beeping device has been silenced? As the ACEs mentioned, the remote control doesn't really have anything inside that would cause a beeping sound but, if you noticed that the beeping is coming from another U-verse device, let us know and we'll see if we can replace it for you. Thanks! 🙂

My Wife and I were awoken for 2 nights straight with the same issue. Started hearing a beeping sound from another room in front of the house. We tracked it down and was the remote itself beeping. Moved it into kitchen and still was beeping so know was no other device in house. Only way to stop was take batteries out. In morning put back in and was quite until night number 2. Did it again last night and that was with new batteries installed. Outside of ghosts triggering the find device option , any other ideas? We don't have kids at home , only 2 of us so nobody playing tricks on us.
