Self install Uverse TV
Here is my situation, until 10 days ago I used to have Uverse TV. I decided to switch to direct TV, but kept, uverse Internet. Direct TV did not work out, so I canceled the service and I want to go back to Uverse TV. Can I request a DVR and receivers from ATT and self connect them myself, or do I have to spend a morning waiting for a text to do it.?

There are no self-install options for U-verse TV. Sorry.

Oops, silly thing didn't take my att.com creds and made me sign up here. Didn't tell me it had saved my previous reply.

If you read the instructions, it's clear that it's for replacing a wired receiver:
"Unplug your existing receiver and remove the power cord."
And installing a wireless receivers is a no brainer....attach to TV, plug it in, let it sync up.
Customers can 'install' wireless receivers, REPLACE receivers (wired/wireless), REPLACE a DVR and REPLACE an RG. Customers can't self-install TV service.
