service call

How do I go about getting a service call scheduled. Computer works but the main TV does not. Have tried resetting the receiver.

Call tech support (800-288-2020) and they can schedule it for you if it is needed.  They will talk you through a few steps to see if they can help you get your tv working to avoid a service call.

 

What's your problem?  You said "main" tv doesn't work.  Does that mean you have other tv's that do?

 

Update:  I was creating this post when the 611 suggestion was posted.  611 is not who you call for uverse problems.

yes...the one not working is the one hooked up to the receiver...have tried
the red reset button...nothing

If "receiver" you mean the dvr then pull plug on dvr for about 15 secs. to let it reboot.

 

Dvr is the one wired to your gateway.  It sounds like you tried resetting the gateway (router) which has a red button, not any of the receivers or dvr.  And for future reference pulling plug on gateway is all you usually need to reboot it too.

 

Check the connections.  Gateway connected to dvr.  Dvr connected to tv.  Make sure your hdmi plugs are fully inserted.  And make sure the hdmi input you are using on the tv is the one you selected on the tv.

 

It would still be helpful if you described in a little more detail what is happening.

611 is for wireless/cell service problems.  It will get you NO WHERE when it comes to Uverse TV issues.  smdh
