Shows didn't record tonight

3 of my scheduled series shows did not record tonight. I checked earlier this week and they were scheduled to record. When I got home they were not recorded. Next week's shows are scheduled to record. Any idea why they didn't record tonight?

@Robin111742   Did you check the Scheduled tab to make sure they were scheduled?

If you have not rebooted the DVR lately: menu>options>restart 😉

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the reply. I checked the scheduled to record list earlier this week (I check it weekly because Uverse seems to pick and choose what it records) they were all scheduled to record tonight. But they did not. One of them repeats later tonight so no big deal but the others (i.e. Big Bang Theory) there's no telling how long until that episode repeats.

@Robin111742   Restart it, that will make things more responsive, renewing the memory and hoefully recording what it should. 😉

Edit:  Big Bang Theory probably on uverse.com and not wait for rerun.

Hi @Robin111742,

Keep us updated. In the past, deleting the reschedule and redoing it has helped.

After further investigation it looks like there were 2 extra things scheduled at the same time for a total of 5. Instead of choosing from my priorities list it just didn't record anything. I have rebooted and cleaned up some of the random rerun recordings I had set. Hopefully that will help.

Hi @Robin111742 - when this happens (more recorded shows than available streams), you should see a red "X' next to a show, or shows.  There is a "Resolve Conflict" option.  I usually reschedule a show on a cable network, as opposed to a broadcast network, as the cable ones are often replayed 2-3 hours later.

Robin. I was facing the same thing this week. I live in Westland. I had three nights of unrecorded shows once I returned home. Following on screen instructions did nothing to correct situation.
I had to call in for help. Basically it is our job to pay ridiculous fees to then be taught how to fix there system.
The quick fix is....
1. Hold power button on main dvr unit for three seconds.
2. Wait for system to recycle
3. Check tv/remote for ability to change channels and sound. If good then check to see if you can pause the show being viewed. If this works then try recording the current show for about 2 minutes then stop recording and view if possible
4. If none of this works then unplug the router from power source for 10 seconds and redo steps 2 and 3
5. At this point if it still doesn't work toss in trash and call another company available in your area. The service and reliability has gone down hill over the last few years
6. Yes I'm fed up!😡
