sugestion for new point anywhere remote

I would like to put the receivers I have in one central location. Because  U-verse internet is needed to have TV service Why can't ATT have a WIFI remote instead of the point anywhere RF remote? WIFI has a better signal than the RF remote has. I downloaded the ATT app to use as a remote for the STBs BUT  it does NOT have a on/off button for the receiver. I and  (many others I hope) would like to use a remote that looks similar to the point anywhere RF remote and the IR remote but uses a WIFI signal instead of a RF signal.

I hope that a  ATTCares  Administrator  could send this suggestion (request) to the proper department to see if it is possible.

Thanks

Richard

Not true.  Some customers have Uverse TV and a different internet provider.

AT&T internet is required to use the app but is not required to have TV service.

I was wrong about the internet service BUT  I do think that the WIFI remote would be a good idea.
