SUGGESTION, program the DVR to allow SLOW MOTION!

We just switched over to ATT Uverse 200 last night, and I think we'll be pleased when we get used to the different channel numbers, and learn the new features available.  BUT, one thing I MISS already from TIME WARNER CABLE is the ability to rewind live TV and watch something in slow motion, or watch anything recorded in slow motion by just pressing the play button during playback.  I don't think they ever promoted this feature, I found out about it by accident.  You could also eliminate the playback bar by pressing the INFO button twice during slow motion playback.

I wish ATT Uverse programmers would look into an update to the DVR software to allow slow motion playback with a combination of remote key presses.  I would suggest that it be programmed so that after pressing the PAUSE button, then during PAUSE, by press the FAST FORWARD button playback would continue in SLOW MOTION.  If you could program this feature that way, I would also suggest that the screen be cleared of a playback bar, or channel info once SLOW MOTION starts.

I really enjoy using slow motion during action sequences that go by too fast to see everything that happens.  Like during a NASCAR wreck sequence, or other sports, or action movies.  I, for one, would REALLY appreciate it if ATT Uverse would look into giving us the ability to enjoy slow motion.

If Time Warner Cable can do it, ATT should be able to do it BETTER!!

ATT has the tech. Just wonder if it's a data thing (compressing bandwidth etc.) or simply an update. Possibly another patent infringement they'll have to battle in the courts.

I'm sure it will happen.

I haven't seen any TV recording device, other than from AT&T, that doesn't  have forward and reverse slow motion and frame advance. But until we vote with our wallets and cancel U-verse service in mass numbers, AT&T won't add those functions.

Of course there are many awesome features as well although they don't get mentioned. Just the complaints.

Slo-mo would be nice. Probably some sort of patent thing or legal rights.

I agree Galaxie500.

If AT&T doesn't get enough complaints or lose customers because of it, they won't worry about it!

It's been at least 7 years.

What upsets me more than the lack of slow mo is the fact that AT&T won't even respond to the queries about it.  It shows a lack of appreciation for its customers and poor public relations!

We had Charter for years, but switched to U-verse when it came into our neighborhood because I was tired of Charter's minimal HD & deceptive (false) advertising. I do miss Charter's slo-mo, frame advance and better, more logical, menus & remote. But Charter Spectrum is available now, so it may be time to go shopping again. Charter Spectrum's advertising is also deceptive, but I haven't found anything that's blatantly false (yet).

I want to sympathize but why shouldn't other people be able to have that feature just because you don't want to use it?

It's sad... VCRs in the 80s had slow motion, yet AT&T can't manage it lol To the guy that said what button would you use... do like others, you push pause and then then ff and rewind buttons cycle through the slow moto on speeds. It's just so sad they can't compete with a VCR.

Yeah, and the more things progress slo-mo becomes more irrelevant as the Networks will provide it on every sport you can think of it.  Smiley Very Happy

Not sure why everyone attaches slow motion to sports. I use it with regular shows, movies etc. Sometimes shows even purposely have funny things fly by that you can only watch in so mo (probably assuming everyone has it). So I sit there like a cave man trying to pause in exactly the right spot. I mean it's only 2015. Can't expect AT&T to have that kind of capability yet lol

There seems to be A LOT of things Time Warner can do that ATT can't. If you are wondering which to chose, the choice is clear: Time Warner. I would never have expected to say that, but now having had both, I am daily disappointed with ATT's lack of services and capabilities. For instance, they no longer offer tv online. Supposedly watching the small screen of one's phone is supposed to suffice. I miss my DVR on the go (laptop), especially when my uverse tv service doesn't work because there is no connection. What now????
