Today Show series recording ends prematurely

My U-verse DVR is set up to record the NBC Today Show every day. Starting yesterday, the recording ended shortly after the show began (today it only recorded about 2 minutes of the show). There was no power interruption, and the channel guide showed the normal information and duration for the show. Interestingly, once I started watching the truncated recording, the DVR started recording the show again (but not before then).

Is anyone else having this issue? I'm not recording any other shows at the moment so I don't know if this problem is specific to the Today Show. I didn't see any mention of this specific issue anywhere. As a workaround, I changed the settings for the series recording to record two hours after the end of the show.
