Total outage and resets.

Sorry if this has been asked before.  I did try to find information matching my issue.

 

I am getting a total outage by that I mean no telephone voip, tv, or internet.  I hold the main reciver/DVR power button in until a reset then everything starts up again.  This is a random event seems every other day and this weekend happened twice on one day.  Is it the equipment, the service or is that the way it is?  All my eggs being in one basket never had everything go out before switching to uverse.

If all services are out, reboot your RG (modem) by unplugging it, wait about a minute, plug it in and allow all nights to come on.

 

Rebooting your DVR will do nothing for your internet and/or VOIP service.

I hold in the button on the main TV box for 10 seconds then everything resets including the phone.  It just happened again a few minutes ago.

I would recommend when you are having an outage to use the T&R tool here: http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB401461

 

You can run it from multiple devices, even a smart phone.  If your services are down, a smart phone would be the best way to run it.  The tool will even set up a dispatch at the time of you choosing for a tech.
