U-verse DVR freezes

Just got new DVR. Old one slept crashing.  This one stops taping. Freezes the show and can’t fast forward or move it forward at all.  

From moments it appears no fix except for replacing AGAIN.  I have done all the trouble shooting. Happens on all TVs.
