Uverse TV crashes following internet upgrade

I upgraded my internet speed today from 3mbps to 18.  The minute they started the upgrade my Uverse TV lost its signal and gives me the message "You are not subscribed to this channel no matter channel I place it on. I have no signal. Spent time in chat with a tech without success.   My Question, How long does it take time wise before my Uverse is back up? I tried to reboot several times without success.  Still have internet access but no Uverse TV.

Have you reset the Modem? Services should be immediate after updating after resetting everything, turn off all boxes, reset the modem, after modem has completed booting up then turn on the boxes 1 at a time

Well thank you so much for the explanation.  I did changed the channel to a standard channel and guess what it popped up.  You were right when they upgraded my internet speed they disabled my HD.  I called and was told I was subscribed to HD which doesn't make any sense to me since I've being watching HD for years.  She said I needed to add $10 a month to get it back.  Any explanation why I would have had it if I wasn't subscribed?

I upgraded my internet because I was on the lowest speed 3mbps service and I added a couple devices to my internet and wanted a greater speed. I have had Uverse since the inception andhave never changed my plan until now. I thought about the HD and the only thing I can come with is what you posted that it was a promotion at one time and had run out. Thanks for your help.
