VIP1225 DVR with theGrey-Remote isn't keeping up!!

Hello, I've been a U-Verse customer from the beginning and love the service, however I have growing concern that my original VIP1225 DVR with theGrey-Remote isn't keeping up. There have been several software updates on the DVR over the years and with each upgrade comes slower and slower response times. It's getting to the point of frustration as when I click a menu option, such as browsing or selecting recordings, each button push can yeild a 3-5 second response. My original experience with U-Verse was great in that each button push/selection had an immediate response (one of the reasons I switched from TWC). I'm also having another issue as I upgraded my service to U350 and with recording HD content, my DVR fills up fast. I read that the newer DVR's have a bigger capacity and am wondering how long-term customers such as myself should suffer with old equipment issues while newer customers get the benefit of bigger/faster/better. I love you U-Verse, but your frustrations are making me consider other options. My goal here is to get upgraded to the same/new equipment that a new customer would have with the U350 service. If not, my buisness will probably be going elsewhere. Please help! -WWHOLL- ========================================================= UPDATE: I got a response from someone named "MorganCS" asking for my account number and a good time to call. I responded to him at least 3 times but have yet to receive a response back from him and when I look at my sent messages, it says that they were never read. What kind of customer service is this???? Should I just leave AT&T and explore other options? What are my options here!!?? I'm very frustrated with your service!!

@wwholl Morgan CS is one of the Uverse Care team.  You didn't happen to send it to him personally and not the ATT Uverse Care link he surely had in his message?

 

Since he sent you the message, he'd be looking for it.

 

In the meantime do an unplug/plug in 30 second reboot of the 1225 to speed things up until the memory load gets to 90%, then another reboot will speed things up again.

 

Can resend all that info through my ATT Uverse Care link in my signature to make sure it goes to right place, address it to MorganCS.  Good luck 😉
