When will ATT HAVE slow motion? Football is coming. Will I have to switch back to Dish?

I seem to get plenty of slo-mo from the actual broadcast, there's no need for slo-mo on the DVR.  ATT seems to think it's not a big deal as they have not added it in the more than 6 years I've had Uverse TV. 😉

What an asinine reponse that is!

Not having any form of slow motion now-a-days is incomprehensible and inexcusable!

Customers have been addressing this issue for about 7 years now. I'm sure that AT&T must be the only provider in the country without any kind of slow motion feature on the DVR.

When I became a U-Verse customer in January, the topic wasn't brought up because I assumed, as many others I'm sure, the feature was there.

There has never been a response from AT&T on this matter, or any desire to resolve the problem.

I'm sure that it won't be resolved until they replace all of our DVRs'.

Well, there you'd be wrong.  The Mediaroom platform has not included slow motion, and there are quite a few providers in the country using Mediaroom.  None of them are near the size of AT&T, though.  Perhaps Ericcson will add it to the system, now that they've taken over the product line from Microsoft.

If slow motion is important to you, then you may need to consider a video solution other than U-verse.

Thank You Jeff,

I should have specified "major" provider!

Please let me know here which "major" provider ( cable or satellite) besides U-verse, doesn't have a slow-motion feature, and you won't hear another word from me on the matter!

It's sad... VCRs in the 80s had slow motion, but AT&T can't manage it?!

And what do you think you'll be slo-moing that the Networks won't be doing it too.  Not on baseball, basketball, football, Nascar racing, soccer, hockey, you name it and they'll provide all the slo-mo you need. Smiley Very Happy

What does it matter what somone wants to use slo mo for. Coming from Directv it is a feature that is missing and would be nice to have. Saying the network providing slow mo knows what someone wants and what they provide in slow mo should be enough is silly.

A few examples for you.

My son called from the College World Series and said he was just on the ESPN coverage. So when I watched the replay of the game I slow moed the section he was in so his mom could see her son make goofy faces on tv. I cant believe the slow mo guy didnt do that for me jeez did he not know my wife wanted to see her son.

Coaches  and teachers use it all the time to teach kids frame by frame.

Folks who love nascar will slow a wreck down to see what happened frame by frame.

Dont confuse replay with slow mo the networks replay lots but do very little slow mo.

Point being because something isnt important to me or you doesnt mean it has no purpose for others.

Come on AT&T. The fact that we don't have slow motion replay is just pathetic.  Please don't pretend to be better than the other major providers when you can't accomplish something as simple as slow motion.  I wouldn't have switched to Uverse had I suspected that such a standard feature wasn't offered.  I'm counting down the days until I can switch back to my previous provider.
