Wireless Receiver "Jitters" Every 10 Seconds

I had U-Verse installed yesterday. I'm having a problem with the wireless receiver having get a slight "jitter" or have a "flash" every 10 seconds or so. It's kind of hard to describe but it's most obvious when static images are on screen such as station logos or score bugs. It happens on the entire interface (menu, guide, etc) and not just the TV feed so it's not a signal strength problem. I've tried using both HDMI and component with no change.

My father had U-Verse installed today and I went over to check it out, and sure enough, his wireless receiver has the exact same issue. it doesn't affect the wired DVR.

Is this a known issue that can be fixed with a firmware update or this "normal?" I need the wireless for where my TV is placed.

Big C - This is not normal or there would be complaints all over this forum.  With that said I would recommend that you send a Private Message to the ATTU-verseCare Community Specialist team.  One of the specialists will respond to your PM shortly.  Please look for the flashing envelope at the top right of the page for your response from a team member.

Let one of the specialists work with you to resove the issue.  They can replace any equipment needed and also dispatch techs, or basically whatever is needed to correct your issue.

Do y'all perhaps have the exact same model TV?  Are you both connected the same way (HDMI/component)?

I sent a PM to that account.

We have different model TVs by different manufacturers and have tried both HDMI and component connections. I haven't had any other problems besides this. Overall picture quality is great.

I've never seen that, but I don't have a wireless receiver.

Can you tune either TV to another source (e.g. a DVR, Bluray player or game console) while still connected to the U-verse Wireless receiver and the reciever turned on and be sure it doesn't happen with the other source while the receiver is connected?

I received one reply to my PM and no more since so I guess I'll post this here. It seems to be a problem with the receiver's 1080i output because if I change it to 720p, the problem disappears. Obviously this is not an acceptable solution. Any other troubleshooting that can be dome short of replacing the receiver?

Is your TV's native resolution 1080, 720 or something else?

I don't mean what resolution will it accept, I mean the number of pixels physically on the screen when counted vertically.

It is a native 1080p TV. I moved the receiver to another 1080p TV and it does the same thing. The problem even happens during the boot sequence when the "Rethink Possible" logo is displayed so it's definitely not a signal/line issue.

It may be a bad batch of boxes.  At this point, I think you'll have to go through the AT&T tech guys.  I see they've already responded, so... keep in touch in this thread to let us know what's going on.

Well, I had a replacement receiver arrive today, and it has the exact same problem. It did a software update when it first booted up so I know it's on the latest and greatest.

Does anyone here have a wireless receiver? If this is just "the way it is" then this is completely unacceptable. The fact that my dad just had two wireless receivers installed that both do this same thing leads me to believe that this is the case.

Big C Style - Can you try it wired, just to see if it is in the wireless circuit or the TV circuit??

I'm going to bring a long network cable home from work and try it this weekend (the closest TV to the gateway is in the next room). If I hardwire it and reboot does the wireless disable automatically?
