Amazon Fire will not play DirectTV content
Subscription works on PC and Apple devices but cannot play content on Amazon Fire.
There is no option to play content.
customer service claims there’s an “outage” but it’s been over 3 weeks?!

- When did you sign up?
- According to what I read, it is only FireTV that is showing you blank data on packages - is this correct?

@bryank27, the OP on this seems to have resolved the issue 1-2 days after the initial post, so the only thing to advise here is 1) wait another day or 2) get DIRECTV agents' attention, either here @DIRECTVhelp or Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/DirectvStream/) or FB (DM at https://www.facebook.com/directv/) so they can check your account and see if they can identify something weird in the backend

Did you delete app and reinstall with a new password? That should fix the issue

Delete DirectTV app from all devices.
Change your password through the website.
Reinstall app and log in with new password.
Report back on your progress.

My Amazon fire stick will not play direct tv content. I can get to the guide but it will not play any of the programs. The exact problem the original person who posted was having.

Does the service work on any other device like a PC, phone, or tablet? Can you access your account info online? Are you a previous DirecTV or AT&T subscriber using the same credentials (id/password)?

Mine does the same. Will not play. I see the same pics as above. Had tech in chat and on phone. They had no idea there is an issue with fire tv

Customer support agents, even in-house ones (as opposed to outsourced), I find are not that knowledgeable when it comes to 3rd party device apps (Firestick, Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, etc.). If you continue having issues and not resolved by troubleshooting, software/firmware update, and supposedly not known by tech support, then I would consider a BBB complaint.
Though be aware DirecTV / DIRECTV STREAM apps tend to be sub-par when it is a TV app as opposed to a dedicated streaming device.

I have a brand new fire tv, it will play everything else, except directv. I have zero solutions posted here. Did I miss something? My direct will work on every other device I have. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, I cannot get past the guide. It is a still picture and I cannot choose anything. This is ridiculous, I am paying for a service I can’t even use.
