App forcloses
My Directv Stream App for closes on its own and it’s happening too often. I can’t even enjoy the services. I’ll clear the apps data, cache & cookies, and restart my Amazon firestick and it’s the ONLY app that lets me access it for 2 secs then forecloses. This need to be fixed asap. Beyond frustrations and it’s happening on ALL my devices

Do a factory reset on the device. If it continues, then you may need to contact Amazon if under warranty, else look at purchasing a new device. The app works on 1000's of users with no issues, including several of mine. I do not see it as an app problem.

@Skeitara I was trying to point out if it's a problem with the app----it would be happening to other Firestick app users.

That makes no sense. It can be an app issue and affects several apps not all. My mom has her own separate device in her own separate home and is experiencing the same issues. It opens up momentarily then closes right back out. I shouldn’t have to do a factory reset for one app that doesn’t work when everything else is working fine. It’s definitely the app

Then don't do anything and live with it. No one here can fix it, and we can only offer suggestions based on experience. This is just a customer to customer forum. Contact support and voice your problem to a support rep.

Then get off my post I didn’t ask for you non help this is a platform to let it be known about issues people are having as well. I’ve already contacted support. Your suggestion didn’t work so just live with that. Good day

Your original post didn't mention anything about your "mom"--So once people point out it's an "only you" issue then you also include your mom. Hmm. Ok.

I'm having the exact same issue. Works for 5 seconds then closes. It's the only app on my Firestick doing this. I have 1G internet and everything else works so it's definitely not a connection issue.

As others have stated, there is little us as customers can do to fix your device. You can try reinstalling the app, updating the software on the Fire Stick, etc. but anything past that would not work. At that point, you’d have to get different/new streaming devices. Otherwise, you just cancel your DIRECTV stream subscription and find the other apps (live TV streaming services) that work fine, no biggie.
