Black screen problem on CBS channel..... Direct TV stream

I just signed up for DTV Stream and I am having problems with an intermittent outage on CBS causing a black screen every few seconds. I've seen this same question from 2-3 years ago on the forums here. Is there a solution for this problem or just something you have to live with? Before I cancel my trial I do want to give this a fair chance. I'm using a 2 year old LG TV with a Tivo 4k streaming device. I thought the Tivo might be the problem but as I said....looks like others have had the same exact problem using different devices. And I can pick up CBS perfectly via antenna for what it's worth.

Ok that's fine. It's not a killer as I do have an antenna. I just didn't want to think this is a normal issue.

For the most part, there are not too many issues with channels being down but it does happen occasionally.  One way to make sure that it is not a problem with the device is to check and see using another device such as a phone, or computer.  If it is happening on multiple devices then it would be the network.  If it is only affecting one device then it is an issue with that device.

I am also having this problem tonight, cannot watch the Tony Awards with the stream blacking out continuously every few seconds.

What device are you using to stream the service? Do you have the issue using a mobile  device like a phone, tablet, or PC?

Are you using the native app for the Smart TV? The Smart TV app for Samsung has always been inferior. There has been limited improvement to the app over the years. Most subscribers have opted to go with external streaming devices. I suggest you consider that option.

Use a firestick, roku, apple tv, or Dtv Gemini device. If you still see the local channel issue, I'd contact the local station.
