i have a new samsung tv and directv streaming, i get constant buffering, black screens, returning in spanish.

Hi @Csvogel, thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. 

Let's try a basic troubleshooting to fix the buffering issue: 

1. Please unplug your device.
2. Wait 5 minutes to plug it back to the power cord.

Please, let us know if the buffering is happening in other mobile device, and how the troubleshooting goes. We appreciate you taking the time to make sure that we are aware of the Spanish audio issue and want you to know that technicians are already working toward a resolution as quick as possible.

@csvogel The issues you are complaining about have been reported 100's of times in the forum. Do a little research to get familiar with the major problems with the Samsung Smart TV. There are no fixes and I doubt if the solution will be resolved in the near future. Like al others get a external streaming device and enjoy the service. Nothing more to be said on the subject.

Could you please verify whether your Samsung Smart TV is already updated? You can do so by following these steps: 
1. Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings.
2. Select Support.
3. Select Software Update.
4. Select Update Now. 

Updates usually take a few minutes, please do not turn off the TV until the update is completed. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically. If they aren't any new updates, select OK to exit. 

Another alternative might be rebooting your WIFI modem to improve your internet connection. We highly recommend you to check your service has the speed required to stream. Finally, could you please let us know if you had tried using the app with other devices and how it went?

the software is greyed out, so i guess that means it is up to date. i ran the app on my phone at the same time as on the tv. it ran fine on the phone, but made the tv buffering even worse. i have not rebooted the wi-fi yet

Yeah the Samsung TV app is horrendous and it should be an embarrassment for DTVStream and Samsung. It's update once every 2-3 months and when it's updated nothing gets fixed, it actually seems even worse with each update. There is obviously no joint effort on both ends to get it working as expected.

Let's try running a Speed Test and making sure there are not a lot of devices connected to the WIFI connection at the same time. Also Click in here so you can follow some steps in order to Improve your DIRECTV STREAM streaming experience.

Unless there is actually a DirecTV App Update for your TV, your issues will not be resolved.

Many of us have been dealing with unresolved issues for the last month.

Right now there only a few choices: Pray for an update that works, stop payments and go to another service or us another device.

 I don't know why DIRECTVhelp thinks that any of those suggestions will help when the issue is the Samsung DirecTV Stream App itself.
