Can I take my TV with me via my fire stick

Can I pause service? Or can I just bring my fire stick when visiting elderly parents in Florida,,?

You can suspend service for up to 6 months per year for $7 per month and no there is no app for firestick or any other streaming service.

No to Firestick but yes you can suspend (pause) your service.

DirecTV is for a single residence by satellite. It is not a streaming service. You pay for each authorized TV. Streaming devices like the Firestick do not have the DirecTV app as that would get around paying for a TV and risks account sharing.

You can use the DirecTV app on a smart phone or tablet, but that is on the mobile device only. It will not allow you to cast it to a TV.

Direct TV does have a streaming service. Google it. I'm trying to decide on either Hulu or DirectTv.

Directtv does offers a streaming service. So what I want to know is can I upload toy firestick and watch from another location in another city. Please don't respond if your not familiar with this new service.

The reason you got the answers you got is because you posted in the satellite service forum. Moved to the streaming service forum.

You posted in the DirecTV forum which is satellite service. If you have DIRECTV STREAM, then that is a separate provider. They have nothing to do with each other, just share the same owner. Yes the naming causes confusion (this is the 3rd name for the streaming service).

DirecTV - Satellite. Not available for Firestick or any other method to cast to a TV by streaming.

DIRECTV STREAM - This is a streaming-only service. Available on multiple streaming platforms, including their own streaming device.

Please don't respond if your not familiar with this new service.

This not a new service at all, just a rebranding. It was originally DIRECTV NOW upon launch in 2016 (so about 5 years ago, definitely not new), then rebranded to AT&T TV NOW or just AT&T TV, and now DIRECTV STREAM with the new co-owner. You also posted in the DirecTV (satellite) part of the forum.

So we are more familiar with the services than you are. But how relevant our answers are depends on how accurate your questions are and if you post in the correct section.

You can absolutely watch your Directv Stream from a firestick at your parent's house.  In fact I bought a firestick for just this purpose (they are cheap).  I toss it in a my travel bag for travel to my in-laws and for use in hotels.  Much easier than trying to figure out channels on the hotel tv.  I can get local news at my in-laws in another state and all of my recorded shows plus there are advantages to the Firestick itself (it is a nice device).  One of the first things I do when I get anywhere is to plug in the firestick.  Tip--keep it plugged in at home when not in use so it stays updated.  If not you will fight with the updates for a time till it gets totally updated.  If you keep it plugged in (even if you do not use it) it will stay up to date with no input from you.
