Direct TV App
I have a Vizio Smart TV. There is no app for Direct TV nor can I find a way to download one. My Alexa will not work on this. Phone may be too old. I recently started with Direct. I have an old TV with a fire stick. Had no problems getting the app with it.

Are you talking about DirecTV or DIRECTV STREAM?
DirecTV is service by satellite, not internet. You pay for each authorized TV by way of a receiver/client. The DirecTV app is a secondary perk for mobile viewing on a small screen, not a way to get a free TV out of the service. As such the app is not available on any TV streaming device or "smart" TV.
DIRECTV STREAM is a streaming-only service. As such, it has to be able to stream to TV. But it is only available on certain devices. Your Vizo TV is not one of them. You need a compatible streaming device to use on that TV.
