Just what we all need another price increase.  If they keep going down this road they will put themselves out of business.  This is the second price increase this year.  They better bring the Disney channels back before the price increase or they will lose a lot more customers.

Obviously, they are making a point on all these disputes and the future of streaming services. The other streaming services will follow next.

Everything goes up. You can try to get a promotional offer and see what happens.

Upper management needs their big bonuses to the detriment of company standings.

You mean Disney management need the big bonuses - they are the one who pulled the channel and want more money!

Price increase is to cover the higher costs for paying the network owners, such as Disney. There is no winning. I wonder if at some point the entire TV industry would crash once no provider can afford to pay what the channel owners demand.

If they all drop Disney, then all this cash to the NCAA and NFL would drive everything down.

It seems the next revolution will be "Direct to Consumer" or DTC.

We already have Max, Paramount+, Peacock, Disney+ and ESPN+. Venu Sports has been put on hold for now. Starz/Encore has a DTC app, I believe. There's Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV+ and Netflix as well. Many (all?) of the RSNs have DTC apps.

Personally, I have U-Verse because I like to have everything in one spot and I like to channel-hop. Channel surfing will be a thing of the past, once we go DTC and throw everything to the algorithms.
