Directv Stream/Roku remote down arrow no longer triggers guide
Pressing DOWN on the roku remote use to bring up the guide. However that stopped working as of this morning. Directv App Build 3750102 Version 3.34.
Now to get to the guide you have to hit the Back button, then select guide (multiple button presses).

I'm having the same issue. I restarted the DirecTV app and restarted Roku, but neither worked.

It's apparently a new feature with the latest app update. Getting back to where you were is tricky.

Push the up button and the Guide button is at the top. This is an interface update. So far the only thing that I see that the down button does is remove whatever interface screen that is showing. Has anyone found a document explaining the new interface?

The down arrow only works once. After that you have to use the back button to get this menu. If you press the back button again it asks to exit the app. You have to go to continue watching and select what you were watching to watch where you came from.

The issue here is that the down arrow button, as of yesterday, does nothing at all. It used to be that clicking the down arrow button brought you to the screen where you could select guide, my library, etc., and then you could press the right or left arrow buttons to navigate. Now, pressing the down arrow button once does nothing. It makes a clicking sound, but nothing happens. The only way to access the guide, library, etc., as of yesterday, is to press the back button, which blanks out the content you are watching. It's much more cumbersome.

It's an interface update. I like it. Use the back arrow at the top of the remote to get to the "Home" screen. The Guide button is at the top.

IMHO in my common usage (live > guide>library) it replaces a single move with 3 or 4 depending on what you are doing. I am sure there was no real UAC (user acceptance testing) on this brilliant "new feature".
More importantly, my wife just learned to use the interface (and stopped complaining.....now it will start again). I signed up with DirecTV Stream primarily because the Roku interface approximated what we were used to in the past (with satellite) not any more (and no, I don't want to buy 5 set top boxes (@120)/ea so I can use the new remote)

Not horrible, but seems like a regression rather than progress. I use DirecTV Stream for live TV, not for on demand content (I have other apps for this.) This app update only creates extra clicks, which slows down the ability to maneuver quickly to the guide and either return back to the current channel or switch to a different channel. Why take away useful functionality that serves this purpose? Some updates have been great (like the addition of sports features,) but no one wanted this.

Up until today, pressing the down button on my Roku remote, would show you choices to watch, my library, sports, and you could select the guide. The remote down button won't work anymore. I swapped out remotes with a different Roku remote and that didn't fix the problem. I tried the same procedures with my other TV and it is acting the same way. After resetting my Roku units and Wi-Fi routers, and updating my TVs, my issue still exists. I can only conclude there is a glitch with the DirecTV app on my Roku devices. How do I fix this?!

What kind of (Edited per community guidelines) are these developers? I don't care what other ways you can get to the guide. Now you have multiple button presses and the down button does nothing. Why???? Are they trying to direct me to some other advertising that I didn't see when I could go directly to the menu? FIX IT!!!!!!!
