everything about direct tv
1.I should’ve never switched from xfinity because they are way better 2. I have to click the red reset button everytime I turn on the (Edited per community guidelines) thing because I get an error when I don’t 3.it’s slower then my old android 4. The amount of time I’ve stared at the “direct tv stream” logo i could’ve spent doing anything more productive 5.there’s more lags then anything I’ve ever used and if anyone says it’s my internet well it’s sad to say I have att internet and there branded wifi booster (witch they both (Edited per community guidelines) also but that’s a different paragraph of a story) the ting is that I live in a very populated area so I should have good internet but ofc I have att so I don’t,but don’t get me wrong the interface and built in chromecast are amazing but what good is that if everything I do on the device is unenjoyable

Sounds like your have DIRECTV STREAM not DirecTV (satellite). Moving to the correct section of the forum so you get service specific help. Though as a note, another company just partnered with AT&T over both services so there are some issues right now with some updates (like the new logo) that might be part of your problem.

I assume there must have been some reason you switched from Xfinity?
You can use the DirecTV Stream service with a lot of other devices besides their branded streaming device (list here), and I find some of the others more responsive. However, they lack channel numbers and some other "ease of use" features (because those devices don't support those at the device level).
(Depending on what you are calling "lag") if you have serious stream problems often, it probably is an internet issue, but it could exist anywhere between your device and the servers sending the stream. Years ago this was a common problem, but it appears not many have those sorts of issues these days. Unfortunately, there aren't good ways to diagnose what the problem is and where.
