Google TV App
What is the holdup to creating an app for Google TV? It's kind of ridiculous that every other major player has an application and you have a price point that is higher than your competitors without an app. Yeah you have an app in the Android store, but we shouldn't have to throw it up to our Chromecast. You should have a user interface on Google TV that we can utilize. Hopefully you're working on this!

What is the holdup? Perhaps the short staffing from Covid, the fact that DIRECTV STREAM is not as old a service as others, and maybe even that there is a transition with the new co-owner as DIRECTV STREAM and the regular DirecTV (satellite) provider are spun off into their own branch.
Those are just logical possibilities. Historically there is no public answer to be given on what they are or are not working on. Only upon release (if there is one), or possibly shortly before launch, they will say something to the consumer base.
This is a public forum of other customers, so we know as much as you on this. Even over the phone those agents don't get the answers you want so they don't set the right expectations. I would just move forward with the knowledge that there is no such app. If later they release one then great, but don't fret about it.

Pay 5 bucks a month or go on ebay and get a Dtv Stream box.
