KTVD-20 Denver (MY 20)

Local channels are based on your address, if DIRECTV STREAM carries it in the first place. Doesn't matter what package you have.

80501.  This channel is a sub-channel of Channel 9 Denver, which I believe is the reason it is not carried, though various sources say it is.

Sub-channels are few and far between for them. Also DIRECTV STREAM doesn't have all the same channels as DirecTV as they are different carriage agreements.

Looks like at this time, DIRECTV STREAM does not carry it. If they ever do in the future, your package should still not matter as all packages include locals for your Designated Market Area (DMA) that are carried.

This is a joke. Altitude blacks out 20 Nuggets games and 20 Avs games a year for tv’s that you have to have an antenna for? It’s 2025. What the absolute eff..

When a local gets the rights to the game it is required to be blacked out on the Regional Sports Network (RSN). Doesn't matter the year and newer tech, but who owns the rights to the broadcast. And locals still get rights to specific games. When that happens you watch on their channel, regardless if your pay TV provider has it to rebroadcast or not.

I discovered, only tonight, that DirecTV Stream has now added KTVD-20 Den as a local channel.  Better late than never.  I discovered it, because when I tried to tune in to the game on Altitude, it redirected me to "MY 20" which I was not yet aware had been added.  I found it, though, among my "unfavorited" stations.  I usually just look at the "Favorites" view to make perusing the guide simpler.

So, thank you to DirecTV Steam for getting this accomplished!  "All's well that ends well."

Definitely nice to hear. And normally these carriage agreements are multi-year, so should be at least a couple years before the chance of a carriage negotiation situation. Just remember no guarantee they will always be there, so regular antenna can be a backup if ever needed in the future (plus any additional locals, including sub-channels, they might not currently carry in your area).
