Network congested

Been a Directv Stream user for 5 years.  This problem has only surfaced in the last year.  Changed firesticks twice, rebooted, dumped data and cache.

What's the actual internet download speed at the streaming device's location?

Is the Firestick connecting directly to the Gateway or dedicated router, or is their a bridge, wireless access point, extender, etc. in between.

Connected to a nighthawk router 20 feet away, get between 250 and 350 Mbps.  Xfinity modem

This is a public forum of other customers. As such it is not allowed to post personal info like your email.

If you are lucky, the official forum team my send you a DM (Direct Message) within the forum. You get an email notification when a new DM is waiting. But again that is by luck as the forum team is not a replacement for customer support.

I think I broke the code.  Seems that if you are watching a saved show and try to go to another one with out watching a live program for a minute, that is when you get the bogus “network congested…”.  Error 10007-013.  May be related to the new software.

Yeah, seems it only recovers when you back out of Directv Stream and load a new app.   Then if you go back the error clears.

Hi, @Vinny21. I have some tips which will help resolve the problem. First, try this: https://www.directv.com/support/article/000093621

If the issue still persists, try the following: 
- Check your Wi-Fi connection for stability and check for updates to the app in your App Store. If an update is available, install it and restart the device. 
- Check for software updates on your mobile or streaming device. 
- Close out and restart the DIRECTV App.
- Restart your device.

Thanks, but i did those immediately.  My other TVs are the best way to toggle between programs on the library.

Understood. Have you tried to unplug and reboot your TV? Please do likewise to the modem. That usually fixes the problem, but let's see what happens. We're here to help. Ryan, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Interesting, so you think the Directv Stream issue I related to the tv or modem even though no other Firestick apps have this issue.   I’ll try it tomorrow
