New to Direct Streaming, but no guide to find channels
I just switched from Direct Dish to Direct Streaming. My Guide only shows channels starting at 1000. When I turn Direst on, it starts at 265 A&E TV, but once in the guide, I cannot get back to channels under 1000.
I use Samsung TV, and if I use the remote, it does not channel my through Direct Steaming channels, rather it activated actual TV channels, so no shortcutting like on Direct Dish.

The Samsung Smart TV app is just trash. 100's of past posts on the offering. Most have opted to go with external streaming devices. I recommend you also for a true streaming experience.

How are you trying to get to your guide using your Samsung Tv remote? You have to hit the down arrow on the Samsung tv remote to bring up the Dtv Stream home page. Then the guide is to the left

I would recommend that you get an external device such as the Directv Streaming box, a Roku device, or an amazon firestick/cube as the app for Directv Stream on your Samsung TV has known issues and has had these issues for a long time without any solutions. I would personally recommend the Directv Streaming Box as it has numbers on the remote and a guide button, and it also has voice commands. It also makes streaming more like traditional cable/satellite service and is much more user-friendly.

The problem with using TV apps Such as Samsung is that the support after the newer model TV comes out is almost nothing.
Get a streaming device and just move it from TV or to new tv's and such and Take the TV apps headaches out of your life.
