NFL Ticket

Just curious to get NFL ticket we need to subscribe to You Tube TV or can we just do it as a standalone add one to here for a cheaper price? Husband is wanting to cancel this for 4 months and get You Tube TV cause of this NFL ticket thing but I want to keep this and just have You Tube TV for NFL ticket only as a stand alone but I think it's still expensive. Do I do it through you tube or can I do it through Direct TV Stream as a standalone for a special price.  He wants to be able to record games and if he misses one that he forgot to record I guess go back and watch it like on demand maybe.

I just know we left Spectrum over Tivo issues and cable cards and narrowed it down to YT TV and DTS and chose DTV stream cause of certain channels and we like having the boxes and remotes. Direct TV Stream chat person did say we could pause service for 3 months to get YT TV but not sure I want to do that. We like DTVS so far and have unlimited cloud DVR and it stays for 9 months. We just have an expensive package where we probably could switch to cheaper one to make up for paying for NFL. I just didn't know the best way around getting it.  Thanks!

NFL Sunday Ticket is not an option for DIRECTV STREAM. It is only through YouTube's options.

It is frustrating that DirecTV (satellite) lost the NFL Sunday Ticket so they didn't even get a chance to see about getting a deal for the STREAM service.

Have you even gone to YouTube TV's website to investigate the details of acquiring NFL Sunday Ticket?

Yes, I went to You Tube TV and just for NFL ticket it's 399 for a whole year he only needs it for 4 months he said. But Direct TV Stream chat person said we could get it for $250 I guess she was wrong. We have Paramount Plus also but it only shows local I believe and Amazon prine is Thursday night games. He just really wanted to watch the Baltimore Ravens game that's all. But Thanks!

NFL Sunday Ticket, even with going to YouTube, is still for the whole season. It has never had the option to pay for so many months. All they did was take the total cost of the season and spread it out monthly so you didn't pay for it all at once.

I do wonder if they will add in a "day pass" that has been seen in the past. Though at about 4 times it would have been better value to have the full seasonal subscription.

Time will tell if the NFL made the right decision for streaming-only with YouTube. Personally I think that gamble jumped the gun. We shall see what happens when the carriage agreement comes up for renewal.

The Sunday Ticket subscription may be for one year, but the NFL season is only four months.

Well my husband said he only needs it for 4 months but yes we know it's a subscription for a year. But he just told me not every game of the Ravens is out of our region it depends who they play and today it just so happened to be the texans and he couldn't watch it. I was going to try the trial of NFL on you Tube for 7 days and wasn't sure of red zone and a guy from chat told me it meant you can watch up to 8 games at once on your screen.

RedZone has been the ending plays, what happens in the "RedZone". So if he wants the full game it would not be the right option.

Well the subscription is for the annual season, not exactly a year. It covers the in-season dates whether they cover 4 or 5 months, etc. Pre-games and post/Superbowl are not covered.

Matters if the game is in-market or not like your husband mentioned. If in-market you watch on the local channel that got the rights to the game, regardless if you have the Sunday Ticket or not.

Well it turned out he did a trial of NFL plus Premium on NFL.com and got to watch his game and he said it's worth it for 4 months to pay $14.99 to catch certain ones he may miss which may not be many. But Lamar Jackson is his favorite the Ravens he played college football here for U of L. But it is only 14.99 after 7 day trial. But yes if it's in our region he will watch it the way he normally does. But he was happy yesterday he watched it after I went to bed.  Thanks for the replies!

Glad it is working out for him. I do hope the NFL's options in the future become a bit more flexible. Got to see where this new carriage agreement goes.
