PIX channel 11

Hello, when will PIX11 be available in NYC? It’s very disappointing that this local channel is not available. If I had known this, I likely would not have switched over to DTV Streaming services.

I use an OTA antenna to supplement my DTV service.  Depending on where you are located you can probably receive PIX 11 with an antenna which is what I do.

Nobody here knows when or if DirecTV might add new channels.

If I had known this,

And that it is why you should check if the channels you want are available before choosing a TV provider. That is your responsibility as a consumer.

Nobody knows when or even if any particular channel will be available. TV providers don't share any negotiations for acquiring permission for a new channel. So for DIRECTV STREAM getting PIX11, well your guess is as good as anybody elses.

There is a channel lineup by zip code on the Dtv Stream website. You could have checked that before subscribing.

I was advised that I would have access to all of my current channels before transitioning to Stream. This is the only channel where there was an access issue. I was planning to go the antenna route, as suggested by ansky360,  who offered the only solution based on the responses received this far. Thank you.

@clarke177467

TV providers do not have the exact same channels as each other. As you've discovered, there can be some differences.

No matter what any sales person says, always verify the info. That way you protect yourself against an honest mistake, the traditional of saying anything to make a sale, or simply a misunderstanding between the two of you. In this day and age, checking the official website is highly suggested as @Ludwick577 pointed out.

Yes as @ansky360  pointed out, over-the-air (OTA) antenna still exists. Get whatever locals that are within range which may include additional locals that are not carried (including sub-channels) or locals that are from a neighboring market that wouldn't be permitted through a TV provider.

Somehow got my users mixed there, sorry about that. Thankfully was still within time to fix.
