Promotion for 3 months of premium channels free with new subscription to DirectTV Streaming
I signed up online for DirectTV Streaming Choice Package. The package was supposed to include HBO, Showtime, Starz, and some other premium channels, free for 3 months. When I started watching none of those channels were included in my Guide. I tried calling support and was told that I had to "accept" those channels during my online signup process. Apparently I missed that step, but I don't remember seeing it when I was signing up. I'm now being told that there is "nothing that can be done" to give me those channels, which is hard for me to believe. Please tell me what I need to do to get the deal I was promised.

Did you click/highlight each service you wanted for 3 months? The step is right after you choose your package.. and it says "select offers"

Apparently I missed that step. It was probably there, but I missed it. My issue now is, I'm telling them, just a few days after signing up, that I missed that step, and I'm being told "Sorry, nothing we can do." Is that good customer service?

Well, it's your fault. Don't blame them for your mistake. Just cancel it---it's a free trial. Use a new email and sign up again and don't miss it.

Sure, I can do that. And I'm not blaming them for my mistake. I'm asking them to help me fix my mistake, which should be a very simple thing for them to do. The fact that they won't/can't do that tells me something about how they treat their customers. But thanks for your help.

UPDATE -- I reached out to DirectTV on their Facebook page and Social Media Specialists Nicolas and Rafael solved my problem for me. They were very understanding and helpful. I am now a happy customer.

Remember to Turn them off about a week before the trial period ends, or they will be added to your bill. If you decide that you want those services you don't have to do anything.

I didn't know to add the free premiums, either, when I signed up for CHOICE. I'm in the process as I write trying to get someone at DirecTvStream to answer my chat query.
