Recent Channels feature won’t load - error message about trouble, try again later

My DirecTV Stream box is no longer allowing the recent channels feature to work, as in when you press the up or down arrow on the remote.  The Recent Channels banner and the rectangles come up, then an error pops up “Looks like we ran into some trouble loading this content. Please try again in a bit.”  I’ve tried rebooting/power cycling.  Checked for updates.  No dice.  Channels and everything still load, and if you go into the guide and move over to Recents, the list comes up fine, but that is a lot more work than just pressing one or two buttons and waiting for the guide.

Do a factory reset on the box. Hold down the red button for 30 seconds and the device will do a complete factory reload. Nothing to lose if t does not work.

For fun I checked my other two stream boxes and both of them are working.  So it’s just one of 3 that is for some reason broken.

Did the factory reset and that worked - just painful having to setup all the apps again to fix a feature that was working fine.

Glad it worked. Sometimes files get corrupt and cause issues.
