Resume watching a recorded sports event

When watching a recorded sports event - if i stop watching part way through the recorded event - when i come back later and click on resume watching the recording it goes back to the beginning of the event and I have to fast forward to where it should have continued from.  Using a Firestick 4K

There are others having this same issue. The thread is "fast forward durings sports not working." The issue started with the last update DirectTv had in mid December.

I'm not having a problem fast forwarding.  The problem is when I RESUME watching an event that I had been  previously watching.  When I use the RESUME WATCHING button option it returns to the beginning of the event and not the previous place that I stopped watching and I have to FF to where previously I stopped watching.

The going back to the beginning when I choose resume is happening to us also.

Awesome to see this has no response from DirecTV.  I have the same issue and it's obvious that it won't be fixed.

Same issues.  I use the Stream device, when I pop off a sporting event and pop back on (using the stream device) it goes to the beginning not where I left off.  What's interesting tho is if I use my phone or ipad and the stream app, it picks up where I left off.  Makes no sense.  I want the streaming device to sync tho because it's hooked up to my TVs.  Wasn't an issue til December.  I thought it was a device issue but it seems others are having it with Fire Stick.  Must have been some update.

There was an update to the  Fire Stick app last week.  It seems to have resolved the problem on my Firestick. Have not had the problem since.
